I thought I would throw up a few teaser pics on the new EMF Dodge steering system Clay has been working on for the last week. It isn't finished yet, but it should be finished this week and then testing begins. We anticipate the system will be available to purchase in December. It will be for the 2003 + stock to lifted 3/4 ton and 1 ton Dodge Rams.

This set up is supposed to be going on HRT's rig which I believe is headed to the Baja next week as a chase vehicle.

Hydro-assist upgrade kits will be available next year. It will utilize the same tie rod ends and outer links I believe, but then go to a ball socket and then into the ram. Clay will design it… but it will most likely be next year before he can start thinking about it because it has to be a bolt-on ram clamp.

Yup that's them. They are running a Cari equipped 3.5 dominator set if I recall right.

so close but man it's time consuming. Making the dies to form the bends properly every time. And making sure that every contact point is cleared. What a pain in the ass.

If yer fabbing it on their 4th gen I think they only run a 3" setup.

Will it work well with 6 and 8" suspensions?

It should . For less angle we'd have to come up with a trac bar drop. And flip the tie rod onto the bottom of the pitman arm.

There is a lot of people following this. People just dying to know if it fixes all the current plagued steering. Even Don Thuren seems to be pretty interested, and has a hunch the design is great!

We hit a little snag - it was designed on our Dually which worked well and was a direct fit, however we never thought of a single-axle Dodge having a different offset in the front rims so a couple more tweaks to do to make it clear and then it should be good to test again.

Yeah, stock rims have 5.75" backspacing I believe. Most guys run between 5.75 and 4.5" backspacing. Not too many aftermarket rims outside of those backspacing used.

Hell yeah....once I get some rear springs and some shocks I'll be needing one for a carli/thuren equipped 07 with a 6" kit.
