Another builder we hooked up with this year is Bobby Barta. He ran Hot Head last year which I thought was one of the coolest looking rigs out there.
Massive axles, huge power, Raptor body. He got massive air and even pulled a back flip. At the end of the season he retired his truck and decided to build a new one.
He got a hold of me around Christmas and started talking about a trailing arm set up for his new truck. We went through a bunch of different joints finally settling on
Large Frank weldable joints with 1 1/2 inch bolts at the diff end. Custom specially made for Bobby narrow Mediums Franks at the Frame. Then the upper links turned into a wish bone. Which a Medium Frank with a 2" shank was used for the center main joint. His original front links on the wish bone were going to be a standard rod end but with the stresses those see in a wish bone set up I couldn't let that happen and we managed to fit two of our large rod ends into the budget and make sure this new set up had the best of the best connecting this wild suspension to his frame.
This wild looking chassis is made out of 2.5 " tube.
